Canadian professional hockey player Manny Malhotra plays in the National Hockey League for the Columbus Blue Jackets.
NHL Career
Malhotra was drafted seventh overall in the 1998 NHL Draft by the New York Rangers. He made his NHL debut that same year and played for the Rangers for nearly four seasons. On March 12, 2002, Malhotra was traded to the Dallas Stars. He was waived by the Stars the following year and picked up by the Columbus Blue Jackets on November 21, 2003. Malhotra played in Sweden and Slovakia during the 2004-05 NHL Lockout before returning to the Blue Jackets. On June 20, 2006, he re-signed with the Blue Jackets to a three-year contract.
