Manny Corpas is a right-handed pitcher for the Colorado Rockies. A native of Panama, Corpas originally signed with the Rockies as an amateur free agent in 1999. After seven years and a pitching prospect in the Rockies farm system, Corpas made his major league debut on July 18, 2006. By the end of the 2006 season, Corpas had become the Rockies primary setup man. In 2007 Corpas became the Rockies primary closer, taking over for an ineffective Brian Fuentes saving 19 games, and helping to lead the team to the 2007 World Series.
