• Manhunt 2 is a psychological horror/action video game sequel to the equally gruesome and popular game Manhunt. Due to the violent nature of the game, it initially received an Adults Only (AO) rating in the United States. The game faced similar challenges in other parts of the world and was modified by Rockstar Games to appease censors.

  • Controversy

    Much like the previous title Manhunt, Manhunt 2 generated controversy prior to its official release. Lawyer and activist Jack Thompson threatened to block sales of the game. Several regionally based rating organizations such as the BBFC, VAC, and ESRB lobbied for a ban as well. Rockstar Games modified the game in attempt to lower its rating. Uncensored copies of the game were leaked onto the internet by a Sony employee who was subsequently fired. Hackers also managed to located the adult only content on the PSP and PS2 versions of the game.
