  • Fossett's Last Adventure?

    On October 1, 2008, belongings once owned by adventurer and aviator Steve Fossett were located in a remote are of Mammoth Lakes by hiker Preston Morrow. Included in the findings were ID papers, a collection of $100 bills and a sweatshirt. Fossett was allegedly searching for a location to break the land-speed record when he disappeared in September 2007. Fossett's body or plane wreckage were never found.
