Plot Summary
The story takes place on a Greek island. Prior to her wedding, Sophie finds the diary of her free-spirited mother, Donna. Prompted by her dream of her father walking her down the aisle at her wedding, Sophie invites the three different men who could be her father to the wedding -- without telling her mother.
When the three men first arrive on the island, Sophia hides them from her mother in an old guest room. Sophia's mother finds the men while she is cleaning. She is afraid but fascinated and she peeks in at them through a locked door. She falls into the room through the rotted roof, and then is overcome with emotion at seeing them all again. She asks them all to please leave the island.
Sophia's mother becomes depressed by this incident, but her friends cheer her up by putting on a show with her. Singing makes her feel better. During the confusion of the show, each of the three men privately tell Sophia they think they are her father, and offer to walk her down the aisle at her wedding. Sophia's fiance hears of this, and he becomes unsure if he wants to go through with the wedding.http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0795421/synopsis
