Malik Jabari Rose was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on November 23, 1974. He attended Overbrook High School, then continued his education at Drexel University. In 1996, Rose was selected with the 44th pick in the NBA Draft by the Charlotte Hornets.Basketball-Reference.com: Malik Rose
Pro Career
Rose played in 54 games with the Charlotte Hornets where he averaged 3 points per game. He was traded the following season to the San Antonio Spurs. He spent his most productive years with the Spurs where he won two championships as a key role player in 1999 and 2003.
