Malik Omar Allen was born in Willingboro, New Jersey, on June 27, 1978, and he went on to attend Shawnee High School. He continued his education at Villanova University. In 2001, Allen signed as a free agent with the Miami Heat. He appeared in 12 games and averaged 4.3 points and 13.4 minutes per game. Allen has played for several franchises throughout his career including: the Charlotte Bobcats, Chicago Bulls, New Jersey Nets and Dallas Mavericks.
