College Football Career
Jenkins made his college football debut with the Buckeyes in 2005 as a true freshman, playing in 10 games and recording 37 tackles. During his sophomore season in 2006, Jenkins played in all 13 games, recording 55 tackles and earning All-Big Ten honors.His success continued in 2007, earning All-American and All-Big Ten honors as well as becoming a finalist for the Thorpe Award, as the top defensive back in college football. He helped the Buckeyes reach the BCS Championship Game, which they lost to the LSU Tigers. In 2008, his senior season, Jenkins played in 13 games, tallying 57 tackles, four tackles for a loss, one sack, three interceptions, three pass deflections and three forced fumbles. Again he earned All-American and All-Big Ten honors for his achievement.
