  • The Los Angeles chapter of SIGGRAPH (a production of the Association for Computing Machinery) held Maker Night in June of 2008. The event, which was free to SIGGRAPH members and $20 for the general public, included presentations by Mark Frauenfelder and Jeff Boynton, as well as opportunities for attendees to display their collaborative projects.
  • About Mark Frauenfelder

    Author and illustrator Mark Frauenfelder, formerly an editor for Wired magazine and a columnist for Playboy, founded the award-winning blog Boing Boing. He is currently the editor-in-chief of MAKE magazine.
  • About Jeff Boynton

    Since playing in the '80s new wave group Wazmo Nariz, Jeff Boynton has hand-created numerous "Circuit Bending" musical instruments from discarded consumer electronic components. He hooks each instrument to its own small amplifier, each of which is placed around the room for a surround sound-like audio experience.
