- Bradbury Mountain State Park
- Camden Hills State Park
- Fort Knox State Historic Site: has the highest bridge observatory in the world, providing a 360 view of foliage for miles.
- Grafton Notch State Park
- Lamoine State Park: on the coast, with views of Acadia
- Mount Blue State Park
- Wolfe's Neck Woods State Park

- October 15- 18: Blue Hill Foliage, Food & Wine Festival
- October 16: York Beach Harvestfest
- October 18: Waterville Harvest Fest
- October 22-24: Portland Harvest on the Harbor
- October 25: Great Maine Apple Day (Unity)
Guided Foliage Tours - 2009
Four Maine state parks are featuring guided foliage tours in September and October, 2009. The program, “Take A Hike!”, includes free water from Poland Spring and are free with park admission.http://mobile.maine.gov/news/?sid=79467
