The taste of mahi-mahi is often described as comparable to that of chicken. Some restaurants substitute white fish, because it is more affordable. They are considered a fish that is at threat for sustainability outside of America according to the Seafood Watch program. The fish can be found in the Caribbean Sea and in Southwest Asia outside of America. They are surface dwelling fish which feed on Crab, mackerel and squid. They have a life span of approximately five years and can weigh up to 33 pounds. They usually display a golden complexion on the sides and green and blue on the back. They are renowned for changing colors outside of water.
