The Mahalo Weekend Update Contest is a contest designed to motivate Mahalo page managers to become familiar with how to update Mahalo Pages they manage.
All Mahalo managers are eligible for each weekend contest. The theme of each contest will consist of a specific type of update being asked to be done on a certain type of Mahalo page they manage.
The contests will be posted on Friday's and the winner will be judged on the following Monday. Although there is only one winner, everybody is a winner because in the end, they updated their Mahalo page.

Judging
Each contest will be judged on the Monday after the contest was posted. Judge @jeffhoard will create a 10 point judging system which will combine points for participation, points for the quality of the update and points for going "above and beyond" - These judging categories are not revealed until the judging begins. -
Prizes
The winner will receive a M$15 prize, while all participants who follow the rules will have their name added to a draw for Mahalo Swag, which is done every Wednesday during the Mahalo Tutorial. -

Second Edition - Coupon Page Curation
When many of our coupon pages are built, managers are satisfied with the default Google Search results as they appear. In this "Weekend Update" we want you to consider which links will effectively help the visitors of your page find the coupons they are looking for.
Some have observed that many of the links that appear in the top Google Search results on our Mahalo pages are not that helpful in actually finding coupons, this update will help eliminated unhelpful links and will instead highlight the best links for your Mahalo coupon pages.
To participate in this Update, simply visit a Coupon page you manage, go to your Google Search Link section and curate the links. This means, visiting each link, ensuring that they are all legitimate links that actually provide legitimate coupons for our visitors. We ask that when you find a good official link or a trustworthy coupon provider to pin those links at the top of your link section, for this contest we'd like a minimum of three pins in your coupon links section.

First Edition - Featured Objects on How-To Pages
All Managers of Mahalo How-To pages are eligible for this Contest. If you do not yet manage a "how to" page, seek out the open How-to Tasks currently being offered by Mahalo. To compete in this contest you will need to update Two Featured Object sections on Three separate How-To pages you manage.
Add Two Featured Objects:
1. Add one video "Featured Object" at the very top of your page, offer a 100-150 word description of the video.
2. Add one image "Featured Object" somewhere within the lower half of your How-To page, with a 50-100 word description.
Nominations will be accepted in the Official Contest Thread, beginning September 25th and be judged on September 28th
