In mid-July, it was revealed that CNET personality Veronica Belmont would host Mahalo's daily video podcast.
Mahalo also introduced "how to" pages in late July.

In early July, Mahalo held a 10-day contest for users to generate a search results page with spam-free links. Pages required a guide note with fast facts and a "Top 7" section. On July 10, Veronica Belmont officially stated on her blog that she was leaving CNET for Mahalo.VeronicaBelmont.com: Big (early) announcement day! (July 10, 2007) She co-hosted CNET's "Buzz Out Loud" podcast, which covered various technology topics.At Mahalo, Belmont hosted Mahalo Daily, which debuted on November 5.

In mid-July, Mahalo created a series of travel "how to" serps, including How To Book a Cheap Hotel Room and How to Book a Cheap Flight. When the pages garnered more attention the following month, more "how tos" were written for various topics. It has since become its own Mahalo category. -
