In August 2007, Mahalo introduced the Mahalo Follow toolbar while its "How To" pages gained more attention. Blogger Robert Scoble also wrote a favorable post regarding Facebook, TechMeme and Mahalo that generated much attention.

Mahalo Follow

At the Gnomedex conference on August 10, Mahalo CEO Jason Calacanis launched the Mahalo Follow Firefox toolbar. With it, users could simultaneously search on Google and see Mahalo results via sidebar.ReadWriteWeb: Mahalo Launches Toolbar - Aims to Convert Google Users (August 10, 2007)

If Mahalo did not have a search results page for a subject, the sidebar would not pop up.

Scoble

On his blog Scobleizer, Robert Scoble stated in an August 26 post that "SEO-resistant technologies" like Mahalo, TechMeme and Facebook would "kick Google’s butt in four years."Scobleizer: Why Mahalo, TechMeme, and Facebook are going to kick Google’s butt in four years (August 26, 2007)
