• Mahalo Daily: Mahalo Idol

• We are looking for a smart, fun, young, charismatic, female host for Mahalo Daily, a variety web series airing Monday through Friday. Potential candidates should be able to think on their feet, be comfortable in front of the camera, have a good sense of humor and be a team player. The casting session will be streamed live on the internet and used in possible episodes.

• If you can't make it to LA, let us fly you out!

• All you need to do is make a one minute video (in response to the video above) demonstrating your hosting and producing skills. We'll be picking the best video (based on number of views, and overall talent), and flying one lucky person out to LA to participate in the final rounds of the Mahalo Host search competition on April 19th.

• There will be an open casting call on Saturday April 19th, from 12:00PM - 2:00PM. Callbacks will be from 2:00PM - 4:00PM.

• Selected candidates will go before a panel and be narrowed down to a small group of finalists. The top contenders will compete in a brief hosting contest. The competition will test your ability to produce and host a good show. The top 5 best performances will be asked to produce a full Mahalo Daily episode.

• The winner will be offered a paid, full-time hosting position on Mahalo Daily (salary based on experience). This is a great opportunity to make a name for yourself while gaining experience and exposure.

• 12:00PM - 2:00PM

• Entrants will receive a number ticket when they arrive at Mahalo HQ, and proceed to fill out a questionnaire and release form. Each entrant will be placed in front of a panel of producers from Mahalo Daily, who will ask entrants a series of quick questions. 40 entrants will be asked to stay and face the celebrity casting panel (judges to be announced shortly).

• 2:00PM - 4:00PM

• The 40 quarter-finalists will then take part in a 2 minute interview in front of our celebrity judges and an internet audience watching through a live streaming camera.

• 4:00PM - 5:00PM

• The celebrity judges will confer with the producers of the show, and consider feedback from the internet audience. Out of the 40 quarter-finalists, 9 semi-finalists will be asked to come back on Sunday, along with the winner of the online competition.

• 12:00PM - 4:00PM

• The 10 semi-finalists will be asked to take part in a hosting challenge. Entrants will be recorded live on the internet using a mobile cameraphone with an internet uplink. Any of the 10 semi-finalists who are not able to make the Sunday hosting challenge due to passover will take the hosting challenge on Tuesday, April 22nd.

• 4:00PM - 5:00PM

• Five finalists will be chosen to go through to the next round.

• During this week, the five finalists will each be given time to work with the Mahalo Daily team with the aim of producing their own, full Mahalo Daily episode for airing the following week.

12:00PM - 3:00PM

• The five finalists will enter a boardroom to be judged on their performance throughout the contest. A final winner will be declared and be offered the full-time job of hosting Mahalo Daily.
