What does the word Mahalo Mean?
Mahalo is Hawaiian for Thank you.
Traditionally, many Native Hawaiian's have great respect and high regard for the "sounds," of words. For instance the word "Mahalo," is often thought of as "divine," or as a "blessing." In that context, one would only use that word when one was experiencing deep and true feelings. "Aloha," to utilize another example, historically would not be used without the addition of other syllables or "words," as a casual greeting. In modern times, however, both "mahalo," and "aloha," are used casually on a regular and friendly basis.
How To Manage More Pages
New Mahalo users are limited to 2 Mahalo pages, for the option to manage more pages simply click the "Request Increase" link inside your user profile. This will add your name to a queue which Mahalo Staff reviews daily, if your current 2 Mahalo pages follow Mahalo Guidelines - you will certainly be given more Mahalo Pages to manage.
How To Inlink on Mahalo
What inlinking means is: Any time you type something that Mahalo has a topic page on, or could potentially become a topic page, by using an easy code you can create a hyperlink to those terms.
If you want your text to link an external website, you can use the hyperlink instructions shown in the second graphic to the left.
How Mahalo Widgets Work
Each Mahalo Topic Page has an embed code which you can add to your blog or website. When you are signed into Mahalo and you grab an embed code it will be assigned to your username and each Unique viewer who sees our widget will be recorded within your Mahalo stats.
For each 1,000 views your widgets get, you will earn a Mahalo Dollar. Check out the Leaderboard here
