Maggie Gyllenhaal

Maggie Gyllanhaal is an American actress known for her roles in Secretary, Mona Lisa Smile, Sherrybaby and World Trade Center. She has worked with such directors as Oliver Stone, Steven Shainberg and Laurie Collyer. One of her most recent and notable films is Crazy Heart, for which Gyllanhaal received an Oscar nomination for Best Actress in a Supporting Role.

Maggie Gyllenhaal is the sister of actor Jake Gyllenhaal. She first gained notoriety with her role opposite her brother in Donnie Darko as his on screen sister. Following that performance, she appeared in a number of independent films winning Golden Globe nominations for her roles in Secretary and Sherrybaby. She more recently jumped into the blockbuster arena as an actress as Bruce Wayne's girlfriend, Rachel Dawes, in The Dark Knight.
