After playing through MadWorld for the first time, the player is rewarded with the availability of secret weapons on their next playthrough.
MadWorld's Combat
MadWorld is, at heart, a beat-em-up and as with all games of this genre it utilizes a deep combat system. During the course of the game the player will have the opportunity to use a variety of weapons to bruise, maim, and otherwise destroy their enemies.
MadWorld makes use of both the Wii Remote and Nunchuck for combat. Slashing with your weapons is gesture-based and allows the player a bit more freedom when deciding how they wish to attack an enemy.
Many of the weapons in MadWorld allow the player to perform finishing moves with them. These moves are done at the end of a combat sequence and usually require the player to use the Wii Remote and Nunchuck in a simultaneous gesture which results in an extremely violent move being performed on the enemy.
