Madhur Jaffrey

Madhur Jaffrey is an actress and has written many cookbooks containing multitudes of Indian food recipes. Beyond her career as a television cooking personality, Jaffrey has acted in a number of Films, television shows, and a play on Broadway.

Jaffrey is a bestselling cookbook author. In 1989, Jaffrey appeared on the BBC in her first television cooking series. She has played a number television and film roles, and has even appeared on Broadway in Bombay Dreams as the main character's grandmother.

When Madhur Bahadur married Saeed Jaffrey, the actor, she gained her stage name, and together, the couple had three children. In 1965, the couple divorced, and later on, Madhur Jaffrey married Sanford Allen, the violinist.
