Just as with any planned convention or media event, rumors start early. So it is with MacWorld 2009 rumors. Initially there were predictions of new devices and a great speech by Apple CEO Steve Jobs. Since those rumors came out, it has been announced that Jobs will not be giving the keynote speech. Steve Jobs Keynote

Steve Jobs has been the usual keynote speaker for the MacWorld Expo since his return to the Apple company back in 1997. In addition, major product announcement and launches have all been done by Steve Jobs at MacWorld. Because of the fact that he is not going to be the keynote speaker for this year's expo, some people don't think there will be any major announcements or products launched at MacWorld 2009.
