10:29: Closing words and a recap: updates to MacBook Pro, Apple Time Capsule was introduced, software updates for the iPhone and iPod Touch, iTunes Movie Rentals, Apple TV updates and new pricing, and of course, the MacBook Air.
10:28 From TUAW: Jobs delivers environmental specs: aluminum case and bromide free motherboard. "Greenpeace lady is squealing." From CNET: "Apple has eliminated mercury and arsenic from display components, and PVCs from the circuit boards. Packaging sizes were reduced as well."
10:25: Jobs announced that pre-orders are open today, and the first ones will ship in two weeks.
10:24: Price announced: $1799; not too bad!

10:23 From Macrumors: Sadly, the MacBook Air has no optical drive (thus no CDs or DVDs), but a SuperDrive add-on is available for $99. It does, however, include software that allows the MacBook Air to use the optical drive of another computer.
10:21: Wireless specs: 802.11n network adapter, Bluetooth 2.1/EDR
10:19: CES chairman Paul Otellini goes on stage.
10:17 From Macrumors: Processor: "1.6 GHz Standard, 1.8 GHz Option." They will be Intel Core 2 Duo processors, possibly Penryn.

9:42 From TUAW: AppleTV Take 2. Now movies are available. Rentals are now direct, so no computer is necessary. HD or standard quality are also newly available.
9:37am: From Engadget: iTunes Movie Rentals is introduced, with Touchstone, MGM, Miramax, Lions Gate, Fox, Warner Bros., The Walt Disney Company, Paramount, Universal Studios, and Sony all on board.
9:35am: 5 new applications for the iPod Touch including mail, weather and stocks.
9:30am: New features announced for iPhone, Google Maps with locations, Webclips, sending multiple SMS messages at once and customizable home screen.
9:18am: Apple Time Capsule announced, going to replace Time Machine. Microsoft Office for Mac 2008 is now shipping.
9:14am: A new "Happy 2008" Mac vs PC commercial is played and Steve Jobs takes the stage.
