Mace Windu is a fictional character from George Lucas's Star Wars franchise. Windu is a powerful member of the Jedi Order, having the rank of Jedi Master and holding a seat in the Jedi Council. Although his character first became prominent in the Star Wars universe from the prequel movie trilogy, Windu has since also appeared in much of the Expanded Universe material including cartoons and novels.
