While the Apple Macintosh computer has been around for some time, hacks for the Mac have been not as popular as hacks for other computers and electronic devices. The main hacks reported online for the Mac revolve around security hacks and breaking in to control a Mac using Safari browser security issues.

Background
The Macintosh computer was revealed to the public on January 24, 1984.Low End Mac: Macintosh History... It's predecessor, the Lisa, never really took off and was subsequently removed from Apple's various offerings. Meanwhile, the Macintosh garnered some attention and began to develop what would become a strong base of loyal fans. The original Macintosh operated at a speed of only 8 Mhz with a total RAM capacity of 128 kb.Apple History: Macintosh 128kOver the years the Mac has seen several incarnations, the latest of which are the MacBook and MacBook Pro. While these systems are constantly gaining market share, many attribute the fact that there are not a lot of hacks for the Mac to the lack of market share, making it less of a target for hacking.
