The 2008 MAAC Tournament determines the 2007-08 championship for men's basketball in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference. Seeding for this single elimination tournament is based upon the regular season standings.

History
The Iona Gaels was the first team to represent the MAAC in the NCAA Tournament under head coach Pat Kennedy in 1982. Also the Iona Gaels has the most MAAC Tournament championships, the team defeated Saint Peters in 1982 in overtime, 66-61, the Fordham in 1984, 72-61 and 1985, 57-54, the Siena in 1998 (90-75) and 2000 (84-80), the Canisius in 2001, 74-67, the Saint Peters in 2006, 80-61.The Siena Saints are the 2007-2008 defending champion they defeated the Rider Broncs 74 to 53. Kenny Hasbrouck of Siena was the 2008 Tournament MVP under head coach Fran McCaffery. The championship game was held at Times Union Center in Albany, New York.
