M83 is an electronic music group that initially consisted of two members, Nicolas Fromageau and Anthony Gonzalez. Their music is heavily produced, with distortion and other effects that often garner comparisons to the rock genre, shoegaze. Shortly after releasing their second album, Fromageau left the group to pursue a solo musical career. Gonzalez has continued to produce similar music on his own.
