Lynn Swann

  • Lynn Swann is known as one of the greatest and most famous wide-receivers in Pittsburgh Steelers and NFL history. He contributed to the Steeler winning 4 Super Bowls. He was named to the NFL’s All-Decade Team of the 1970s, as well as the Super Bowl Silver Anniversary Team.

Lynn Swann is known for the grace of his catches as well as the quantity. He studied dance in High School where he was an honor student. At USC he was an All American in 1973. The Pittsburgh Steelers drafted him in 1974. The Steelers won 4 Super Bowls while Swann played.

Swann retired in 1982, and now owns a consulting business in the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and is involved in Pennsylvania politics. He had an unsuccessful run for Governor of Pennsylvania on the the Republican ticked in 2006, losing with 40% of the vote.
