Lynn Kohlman was a fashion designer and executive for multiple major fashion companies, including Perry Ellis, Tommy Hilfiger and DKNY. She started her career in fashion as a model in the 1970s, adding an androgynous edge to designer's collections, such as Perry Ellis and Donna Karan. Kohlman was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2002 and brain cancer in 2003. After undergoing treatment and surgery for the cancers, she appeared on The Oprah Winfrey Show.
Kohlman died on September 14, 2008 after a six-year battle with brain and breast cancer.
