After a six-year battle with breast and brain cancer, fashion designer and former model Lynn Kohlman died on September 14, 2008. The official cause is listed as brain cancer. Kohlman was a fashion designer and executive for such major fashion companies as Perry Ellis and DKNY. She was a model in the 1970s, providing an androgynous edge to the styles of Perry Ellis and Donna Karan.
