  • A total lunar eclipse occured in the U.S. on February 20, 2008. It was visible throughout north and south America on the evening of February 20 and Europe and western Africa witnessed the eclipse on the morning of February 21. The moon entered darkest part of Earth's shadow at 8:43 p.m. EST with total eclipse lasting from 10:01 p.m. to 10:51 p.m. EST
