Luke Skywalker is a grand master Jedi who was born in 19 BBY, (Before the Battle of Yavin) to Jedi Father Knight Anakin and the late Nobbo queen Padme Amidala. Luke was raised in solitude on Tatoonine, hidden safely away from the emperor Palpatine and his father, (which is now known to be Darth Vader).
In 0 BBY, Skywalker purchased two droids, R2-D2 and C-3PO, which led him to meet Han Solo and Princess Leia. Shortly after he received his Jedi training from Obi-Wan Kenobi, and used his expert training to destroy the First Death Star, which only served to increase his desire to join the Rebel Alliance.
Luke Skywalker fought in many inter galactic wars. It wasn't until 3 ABY (After the Battle of Yavin) that Skywalker received his training from Yoda, soon after discovering that Darth Vader, Dark Lord of the Sith was his father.
