Luke Menard

Since 2000, Menard has been singing with the award-winning acapella group Chapter 6. He tried out for American Idol's season 6 performing "How Deep Is Your Love" but did not move on to the Hollywood competition.

On May 20, 2008, a representative for Menard's group, Chapter 6, stated that Menard was diagnosed with Hodgkin's lymphoma. After dealing with a cough that would not subside, doctors investigated and found Menard was suffering from stage II Hodgkin's. On November 26, 2008, the American Idol website reported that Menard is now cancer-free. In total, he received twelve rounds of chemotherapy. While dealing with his chemotherapy treatments, Menard began working on a Christian contemporary album in Nashville. Menard received help from Chris Sligh, a fellow Idol contestant.
