  • Musical Biography

Lukas Rossi formed and fronted two bands in Canada. The first was Cleavage (1995-2005), a band that won the Best Unsigned Band contest at NXNE in 2000. In 2005, Lukas partnered with Pulse Ultra's guitarist Dominic Cifarelli and his friend Jay Cianfrini to form his next band, Rise Electric, in Montreal.

While Rise Electric was on hiatus in the spring of 2006, Lukas went to Los Angeles to compete in a reality TV show called Rock Star: Supernova hosted by Dave Navarro and Brooke Burke. The show was a televised audition to select a front-man for a new rock group consisting of Tommy Lee (Motley Crue), Jason Newsted (Metallica), and Gilby Clark (Guns N' Roses). Lukas won the gig, and his selection as lead singer of Rock Star Supernova earned him a world tour of the United States, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. CBS: [1]

The eventual dissolution of Rock Star Supernova led Lukas to his next project, a solo acoustic act, and his Love and Lust EP was released June 2007. After a year of touring solo, Lukas formed a new band in 2008, an alternative rock group called Stars Down. LukasRossiOnline:[2]
