Lukas Krajicek

Lukas Krajicek is a professional ice hockey defenseman that plays for the Philadelphia Flyers of the National Hockey League. Krajicek was drafted 24th overall by the Florida Panthers during the first round of the 2001 NHL Entry Draft. For the next five seasons Krajicek split his time between playing for the Peterborough Petes of the Ontario Hockey League, the Panthers' American Hockey League affiliate, the San Antonio Rampage and joined the Panthers for 23 NHL games. Krajicek also represented his home country of the Czech Republic at the 2002 and 2003 World Junior Championships.

During the 2005-2006 season, Krajicek played 67 games with the Panthers to earn 16 points and 50 penalty minutes. During the off-season, Krajicek was traded to the Vancouver Canucks along with teammate Roberto Luongo. Up for free agency at the end of the 2006-2007 season, Krajicek signed on for another two years with the Canucks. Just before the start of the 2008-09 season, he was traded to the Tampa Bay Lightning along with Jurja Simak for Sean O'Brien and Michel Ouellet. He remainedo n the team in 2009-10, splliting time between Tampa Bay and their farm club, the Norfolk Admirals. The Philadelphia Flyers picked him up off of waivers midway through the season to provide depth.

Krajicek began the season playing for the Tampa Bay Lightning. He spent just 23 games with the club, registering just a single assist in an November 16, 2009 game against the Phoenix Coyotes. He had just a -4 plus-minus rating in his tenure with the Lightning. The team sent him down to Norfolk, where he remained before the Flyers claimed him off waivers in January. He made his Flyer debut on February 1, 2010 against the Calgary Flames. He finally scored his first goal of the season on March 28, 2010 against the New Jersey Devils. In the postseason he played in every game, getting an assist during game two of the NHL Eastern Conference Finals against the Montreal Canadiens.
