On December 30, 2008, news agencies reported that the Colorado Rockies were close to finalizing a deal to acquire Luis Vizcaino from the Colorado Rockies for starter Jason Marquis. Brief Bio
A native of the Domincan Republic, Vizcaino originally signed with the Oakland Athletics as an amateur free agent in 1994. After five years as a minor league prospect in the Athletics farm system, Vizcaino made his major league debut on July 23, 1999.
