On December 30, 2008, news agencies reported that the Colorado Rockies were close to finalizing a deal to acquire Luis Vizcaino from the Colorado Rockies for starter Jason Marquis. Brief Bio
A native of the Domincan Republic, Vizcaino originally signed with the Oakland Athletics as an amateur free agent in 1994. After five years as a minor league prospect in the Athletics farm system, Vizcaino made his major league debut on July 23, 1999. Vizcaino played for the Athletics, Brewers, White Sox, Diamondbacks, and the Yankees, before joining the Rockies.MLB.com: Luis Vizcaino -
