Lucy Gordon's boyfriend reportedly found her hanging from the ceiling in her central Paris apartment when he awakened on May 20, 2009. He was said to have ran for assistance and returned with a local shopkeeper. Police described the scene as being "absolutely horrific." Gordon's boyfriend disclosed that she had been very upset over a friend that recently committed suicide in England. Gordon was almost 29 years old when she took her own life and seemed to have a promising career ahead of her. A reporter for Cini magazine stated, "I met her briefly. She was totally normal, and did not appear to have any issues. You simply never know what is really going on in someone's head.
