Lucky Dube was a South African reggae musician. He recorded 21 albums in Zulu, English and Afrikaans over a 25 year period. He was one of the apartheid regime's most outspoken critics.
On October 18, 2007, Dube was shot dead in an attempted carjacking in a suburb of Johannesburg. His teenage son and daughter witnessed the killing.
