Categories: Entertainment
  • Lucinda Williams is an American Singer-Songwriter whose style can be considered a combination of rock, folk, country and the blues. Williams was born in Louisiana and started playing music at an early age. After moving to Nashville, Williams released a string of critically acclaimed yet commercially unsuccessful albums. During that period, Williams had success as a songwriter when her song "Passionate Kisses" was covered by Mary Chapin Carpenter and won her a Grammy Award. After toiling in relative obscurity as a performer for years, Williams finally received critical and commercial success with the release of her 1998 album Car Wheels on a Gravel Road. Williams released her eighth studio album in 2007.
