Lucile P. Gatchell

On April 18, 2008, driver Lucile P. Gatchell was involved in a head-on collision with actress Sandra Bullock and her husband Jesse James in Gloucester, MA.

According to reports, Gatchell's station wagon crossed the center line and collided with the SUV containing Bullock, James, and their driver. Nobody was hurt in the accident, and Gatchell was later arrested for driving under the influence and failing to stay in marked lanes. Her blood-alcohol level at the time of arrest was reportedly 0.20, over twice the legal limit.

All parties were a little shaken up, police said, though Bullock was "gracious" and attempted to comfort Gatchell. Prior to the crash, another driver spotted Gatchell swerving on the road and considered calling 911.
