Luciano Pavarotti was an Italian-born vocalist and lyric tenor, as well as one of the most recognizable names in opera and classical music. He as also a part of the group The Three Tenors with fellow vocalists Placido Domingo and Jose Carreras.

Career
Luciano Pavarotti debuted on the Italian stage in a performance of La Boheme in the 1961. Two years later he played the role again at the Vienna State Opera which cemented his local popularity. He rose to international stardom in 1972 in La Fille Du Regiment at the New York Met. The reviews and accolades from his work there launched his performing and recording career. After over four decades gracing the world's stages with his voice, he succombed to Cancer in 2007. -
