  • The LSU Lady Tigers are a college basketball team representing Louisiana State University. They compete in the SEC. They have now appeared in five consecutive Final Fours, but have yet to win a national championship. The 2007 team reached the Final Four despite losing their coach to a relationship scandal prior to the tournament. The coach in question, Dana "Pokey" Chatman, was accused of having an inappropriate relationship with a former player. Chatman subsequently sued the university, who forced her resignation, and eventually reached a settlement. The Lady Tigers have made 18 tournament appearances in their history, and their current coach is Van Chancellor, who won 4 WNBA championship with the Houston Comets.
