  • Loyola Marymount University is a private institution of higher learning. The university is one of the 28 members of the association of Jesuit colleges and universities. The sports program, for LMU, is part of the West Coast Athletic Conference.
  • LMU History

    Loyola Marymount University was established in 1911 as part of the Society of Jesus of Nazereth Los Angeles College. The college moved to a new campus in 1918 and became the Loyola college of Los Angeles. The campus moved again in 1929, this time to its present location of Westchester, California.
