Love Jones is a romantic drama about two young people and the pursuit of love. While trying to figure out if they're actually in love or not they hang out with their friends, talking about love and sex.

Plot
Darius Lovehall (Larenz Tate) is a poet giving a poetry reading at an upscale night club in Chicago. Shortly before his set he meets Nina Mosley (Nia Long), a gifted photographer who has just lost her job. They exchange small talk, and Darius retitles a love poem he recites "A Blues For Nina". A mutual attraction is sparked between them, and Darius invites himself back to her place to persistently ask her out. After they have sex on their first date Darius and Nina aren't sure where to go next with their relationship. Nina decides to test the strength of Darius' feelings and sets a chain of romantic complications into motion. -
