Louise Ogborn

18 year old McDonald's employee Louise Ogborn was the victim of a prank in which a man called her restaurant claiming to be a police officer. The fake officer told the store manager, Donna Summers, that Ogborn was suspected of stealing from a customer's purse, and asked that a strip search be performed. Over the course of multiple hours, Summers and her fiancee subjected Ogborn to a prolonged, humiliating interrogation.

  3. Ogborn requested McDonald's pay $200 million (including $100 million in punitive damages)
  4. Allegedly, McDonald's hid evidence that this hoax had happened previously at other locations
  5. Corrections officer David R. Stewart was tried and acquitted of masterminding the hoax
