  • Career

    Rawls made his debut in 1954, singing gospel music with the Chosen Gospel Singers. Rawls spent two years in the army and then went on tour with Sam Cooke in 1958. After recovering from an accident, Rawls moved to Los Angeles to pursue his career, making his debut as a actor on the TV show 77 Sunset Strip.
