The fifth season of the popular science-fiction series premieres on January 21, 2009 with the episodes "Because You Left" and "The Lie". Several clips and promos were released through the fall of 2008 and the winter of 2009. Most clips focus on the return of the Oceanic 6 survivors to the island, along with a possible explanation of how the island was physically "moved" by Ben Linus. Other promos examine the lives of the group that choose to stay behind. According to the commercials those who were left lost their supplies and camp, while Ben Locke discovers another plane as it crashes into the island
