Spoilers 3/13/08 "Ji Yeon"
- When Sun and Jin make plans to leave the beach and go join Locke's camp, Juliet steps in to stop them - by telling Jin that Sun had an affair, and that the baby might not be his. Her plan works: the pair don't go to Locke (that decision after some squabbling over the affair, and then a sweet little make-up scene). Juliet warns Sun again that she only has a matter of weeks to live, as all pregnant women on the Island die, usually in their second trimester.
- Lots happening on the freighter: someone slips a note to Sayid and Desmond, warning them not to trust the captain - who has summoned them to the deck.
]
- Captain Gault tells them Charles Whidmore is the freighter's owner. They also learn that he has procured Oceanic 815's "black box", and that someone with great power and resources has taken steps to have the world believe there were no survivors of the crash (including the 'recovery' of 364 bodies). That, Gault says, is one of the reasons they want Benjamin Linus.
- The ship's crew is apparently suffering from some serious cabin fever. While Sayid and Desmond are on deck, Regina, bound in heavy iron chains, jumps overboard. None of the crew make any moves to rescue her, and when Sayid and Desmond force the issue, Gault orders everyone back to their stations.
- More major freighter news: the return of Michael, who is working as a janitor on board, under the name Kevin Johnson. Is he Ben's inside-man? Sayid and Desmond are introduced to Michael/Kevin, but are careful to play it cool and not blow his cover. Did Michael cut a deal with Ben for Walt? Safe bet we'll find out much more on next week's episode: "Meet Kevin Johnson". It's defintely Michael though, look:
- YouTube Video: Michael's Return (Time: 1:45)
- See?
- We learn through flashbacks and flash-forwards that Sun is the fifth member of the Oceanic 6, and that she gives birth to a baby girl named Ji Yeon off the Island. After the birth, Hurley visits, and the pair go to visit Jin - at the cemetery! The date on Jin's headstone reads September 22, 2004 - the day of the plane crash. Don't believe me? Take a look (and this one's a tearjerker):
- YouTube Video: Sun Visits Jin's Grave (Time: 2:12)
- Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse said we'd know all the O6 members by the end of the seventh episode. So is it Michael? Or baby Aaron? Or Baby Ji Yeon (I know that's a stretch but I'm not sure where to go with this theory just yet)?
Spoilers 3/17
- ABC's promos indicate that someone WILL die on this week's episode: "Meet Kevin Johnson".
- YouTube Video: "Meet Kevin Johnson" Sneak Peek (Time: 1:59)
- Are we talking a major character here?! So far, we know that five characters are "safe", because they've been identified as members of the Oceanic 6: Jack, Kate, Hurley, Sayid and Sun (some count Aaron as well). One other note: confirmation that Libby will make an appearance in this episode!
- Hope we all enjoy this week's show, because Lost will be on a break until April 24th -- five new episodes are coming, and the show time will change to 9pm CST on Thursdays!
Spoilers 3/21/08: "Meet Kevin Johnson"
- Wow. An entire episode, told almost entirely in flashback - highly unusual, and really interesting. First and foremost, we find out what Michael is up to on the freighter, and where he's been since leaving the Island with Walt. More on that in a moment.
- The show starts on the Island: Team Locke. The fearless leader tells the group that Miles has confessed the freighter people's true mission: to get Ben, and then to kill everyone else. Ben tells Alex she's not safe - if the freighter people find out she's his daughter, she'll be in grave danger. Ben tells Alex to get out of the Barracks and go to a special sanctuary, "the Temple", where the Others have gone for safety. He shows them a map, with a nifty little DHARMA logo on it:
]
- Alex heads out with Karl and Danielle to find the spot, which Ben says is about a two-day walk away.
- Cut to The Freighter: Sayid confronts Michael, asking why he's there. Michael's answer?
- "I'm here to die."
- And the flashback begins...
- Michael is in New York City, overcome with guilt about killing Ana Lucia and Libby. He's confessed his sins to his son Walt, who is living with Michael's mom. Walt didn't take it too well. The relationship is still strained, to say the least: Michael's not allowed to even see the boy. A depressed Michael attempts to kill himself by crashing his car into a cargo container on a pier. He wakes in the hospital after dreaming of Libby (boo!) and realizes he survived, against all odds.
- Michael's not finished trying to off himself. He buys a gun, and is pulling the trigger in a dark alley when Tom appears. Tom! NOW we're really moving! "Mr. Friendly" is back! Tom tells Michael they've been keeping tabs on him, and that he can't kill himself - the Island won't let him. He explains that Charles Whidmore has fabricated the wreckage of Oceanic 815, even digging up graves in Thailand so fake bodies can be placed at the scene. Later, a still-shaken Michael tries suicide again with the gun, which jams. Then he sees television footage of the discovery of the wreckage of Oceanic 815. Michael goes to Tom, who offers him a chance to redeem himself, by saving those who remain on the Island: Join up as a spy for Ben on Whidmore's freighter, sabotage the operation, and kill everyone on board to spare the lives of the Islanders.
- YouTube Video: Lost "Meet Kevin Johnson" - Michael and Tom (Time: 4:23)
- Michael agrees, and heads to Fiji to start his assignment as spy/deckhand. Once he's on the freighter, Michael opens his trunk, and finds a suitcase with a bomb inside. He decides to hit the ominous red button and blow everything to smithereens (despite a warning from creepy Ghost Libby not to).
- 5...4....3...2....1!
- Instead of a huge fireball of freighterocity, we see a little flag pop up in the suitcase with a note: "Not Yet."
]
- Ben calls, with instructions for Michael to list all the people on the freighter, telling him some are innocents who shouldn't have to die. Ben then wants Michael to give him the list, and disable the communications on the freighter. Ben's really selling the drama, telling Michael he's "one of the good guys".
- Flashback, over. Back to the present: Sayid has listened to Michael's story, and isn't buying it. He drags Michael down to Captain Gault and pronounces Michael a traitor, telling the captain he's also a survivor of Oceanic 815 - and confirming there are many others. Either this is a colossal mistake, or a brilliant move. Hard to say.
- Meanwhile, back on the Island...
- Alex, Karl and Danielle are in the jungle, making their way towards the Temple, supposedly a safe haven, when bullets start to fly. Karl is killed first, Alex understandably goes mental, and Danielle tries to get them both out of the line of fire. Doesn't work. Danielle is shot to death just a few feet from Alex. There's a rustling in the bushes nearby, and Mental Alex stands up and screams "I'm Ben's daughter!" Did Ben set this whole thing up? A neat (well, not so neat really) and tidy way to dispose of Karl and Crazy Danielle?
- Regardless of motives, we now have our (previously promised) death(s). We'll miss you, Karl and Danielle. So will Alex, if she survives.
- YouTube Video: Lost "Meet Kevin Johnson" - Going to the Temple (Time: 2:38)
- Annnnnnd....scene.
- So now we know where Michael has been since he split the Island with Walt, we know (some of) the Others can come and go from the Island, we know the freighter folks are planning to kill the Oceanic 815 survivors. But I've still got lots of unanswered questions: how does the Island keep Michael from killing himself? Does this mean the Island can actually control people, and events? If so, that's potentially huge information. And did anyone else catch that ABC promo for the next episode? Without question, it gives away something: we know now that Aaron IS considered one of the Oceanic 6:
- YouTube Video: Lost 4x09 Promo
- The next episode, which will air on April 24, 2008, is entitled "The Shape of Things to Come", penned by Cloverfield's Drew Goddard. All indications are it will focus heavily on Ben and/or Sayid.

And note the new time: 9pm CST - right after Grey's Anatomy.
Spoilers 4/11
- For those of you suffering from extreme Lost withdrawals in recent weeks, Entertainment Weekly has an incredibly good article about what we can expect in the next wave of episodes, including a good bit of info about "The Shape of Things to Come". In short? This next episode will focus heavily on Ben. Oh! And the brilliant Damon Lindelof tells us we'll learn a little more about the (still) mysterious Smoke Monster - always a plus when Smokey shows up. And from the equally brilliant Carlton Cuse? The scoop about a huge new storyline involving Claire:
- "Mysterious things are happening to Claire that set up the next few episodes — and the next few years, too."
- Shivers! Can't wait! Stay tuned here for more information, as it becomes available.
Spoilers 4/17
- The Lost internet family is abuzzzzzz with talk of death and destruction (well, mainly death) after TV Guide's Ausiello posted this podcast (seriously if you don't want to know, don't watch)...
- As of right now we have EXACTLY seven days until the first episode since the hiatus. Tick. Tock. We know that death awaits a major character. We know minor characters will be going. I absolutely think everyone's favorite shape-shifter, Smokey, will be involved. Frieghties beware!
Spoilers 4/20
- Just ran across this excellent TV Guide blog: "Six Secrets of the Island Revealed." "The Shape of Things to Come" will SO be heavy on the Ben-ness:
- "In the April 24 episode, Ben leads the resistance against the freighter fiends working for cranky billionaire Charles Widmore, while in his flash-forward adventure, he does battle in the Tunisian desert and spies on a funeral in Iraq."
- GI Ben, action hero!
Spoilers 4/21
- Catching up on a few things here, while we all wait impatiently for "The Shape of Things to Come." First and foremost, we have a title for the three-part season finale: "There's No Place Like Home" (think The Wizard of Oz). Here's the rundown on how the finale will happen: part one will air on May 15, 2008. One hour. Skip the next Thursday (Grey's Anatomy finale), then parts two and three will air on May 29, 2008.
- Show producers held a teleconference late last week, and provided many, many tasty tidbits to tide us over. I would highly recommend checking here for a very nice summary of what went down. One other thing to bring up: remember the Orchid Orientation video presented at Comic Con last year? If not, you might want to watch it again and refresh your memory before this season wraps up. Last week, Lindelof said the video will "pay off in a big way in the season finale this year." Remember the white bottle that falls? The sudden appearance of the second number 15 bunny? If not, it may be time for a little homework:
- YouTube Video: Lost: Orchid Station Orientation (Time: 2:02)
- What's with the beaker/bottle falling and the mysterious (duplicate?!) bunny? And why does the good Dr. Halliwax/Candle flip out when the furry creature appears? For those of you short on time this week, I'll provide crib notes in the form of a brief transcription.
- Halliwax: When did you set the shift?
- Assistant: Negative 20.
- Halliwax: How long?
- Assistant: Nine minutes, but we're still learning how to...
- Time travel. This is all about time travel. I need to go watch "The Constant" again, and study Quantum Mechanics.
Spoilers 4/23
- Less than 24 hours to go now, time for a review: According to ABC, an (unidentified) body will wash ashore. Looks like he's bald. Could it be Doctor Ray from the freighter? And it seems we can expect big problems at Camp Locke, which will come under attack. Then there's the matter of the call for Ben on the batphone...
- YouTube Video: Lost 4X09 Sneak Peek #3 (Time: 1:07)
- Locke: "What's code 14J?"
- GI Ben: "They're here!"
- And judging from this clip, Sawyer barely escapes becoming SawyerToast.
- YouTube Video: Lost 4X09 Sneak Peek #4 (Time: 1:12)
- A rocket launcher?! Claire's house!? Is this the end for Emilie de Ravin? Stay tuned. The countdown has begun!
Spoilers 4/24: "[[Lost The Shape of Things to Come|The Shape of Things to Come]]"
- Here we go!
- Jack is looking through his bag of medicine, apparently he's taking antibiotics. He tells Kate he thinks he has a stomach bug. Vincent starts barking furiously and a body washes up on the beach. Who is it? Is that...it is! It's Doctor Ray!
- Back at Camp Locke...Hurley and Sawyer are playing a nice little game of Risk, as we watch Alex being forced to turn off the electronic fence by her captors (for the record, the numbers are 1622). The phone's ringing...here's the Code 14J message we talked about earlier. Locke tells Ben about the strange call, and asks what "14J" means. Ben springs into action:
- YouTube Video: Lost Season 4 EP9 "Shape of Things to Come" (Time: 0:33)
- Ben sure is packing serious heat - he didn't hestiate to grab the firepower after hearing 14J. Ben tells the guys they need to move and quickly, to the other house because it's better fortified. Why? Ben simply says "they're here."
- Flash forward time with GI Ben! He's in the Sahara Desert, wearing a parka with what appears to be a DHARMA logo on it. He's bleeding, arm appears injured. Two armed men on horseback appear, and they don't look like the welcome wagon. WOW - our boy Ben just took the two guys out. Who knew he had it in him? Ben leaves the bodies, takes the horse, and rides away.
- Camp Locke: Ben explains Code 14J is a panic code - an early warning system that tells him one of his people has been captured. Sawyer wants to get Claire, but Ben says there isn't time. Sawyer takes off anyway.
- Back on the beach: Jack is quizzing Faraday about Ray. Faraday explains the SAT phone is still fried - but he might be able to use it as a telegraph.
- Camp Locke: Ben is barricading the doors and shoring things up. Hurley and Locke are inside. Sawyer's outside running around, trying to get to Claire...heavy gunfire from all sides...several people (minor characters) are shot and killed. As he's making a run for Claire's house, suddenly it is hit by a missile! Apparently the enemy has a rocket launcher(!).
]
- Was Claire inside the house?! This can't be good.
- Cue mysterious Lost music. Commercial time.
- We're back. Ben is in Tozeur, Tunisia at a rather posh looking hotel. He gets a room. His name? Dean Moriarty (think Kerouac's On the Road). This is definitely Ben's alias: his passport read Dean Moriarty in "The Economist," remember? Ben/Dean says he's a "preferred guest." The hotel receptionist looks unsettled. Ben then asks the receptionist for the date. October 24, 2005 - so now we have confirmation this is a flash forward because Oceanic 815 crashed in September of 2004. On the lobby television, been sees Sayid surrounded by press. He's saying he "just wants to bury his wife in peace." Sayid's wife, Nadia, has died.
- Camp Locke: Hurley, Locke and Ben (and Baby Aaron) are waiting on the attackers. Locke asks what's going on. Ben tells him it is "shock and awe." Ben says Locke must survive this attack so that he can get to Jacob. Locke says he doesn't know where the cabin is, but Ben points out that Hurley does.
- Outside in the barracks, Sawyer is looking frantically for Claire in the rubble of what used to be her house. He sees legs poking out - it's Claire! She survived, apparently uninjured.
- Locke house: Hurley's puts Aaron in the back room and runs to the door to help Sawyer and Claire in the house. The doorbell rings. Sawyer gets it - it's Miles. How did he get out? Miles says "the people who gave me this" - and he holds out a radio. He tells Ben they want to talk. At this point, we still don't know who they are, but it seems likely these are the attackers.
- Flashing forward again, to Tikrit, Iraq, and what appears to be a funeral procession. Ben is there, taking photos of a man standing near the procession. He looks down and sees Sayid carrying the casket. Sayid looks up and sees Ben, who takes off out of the building. Not fast enough - Sayid tackles him.
- Sayid: You followed me to Tikrit, you spied on me! What are you doing here?!
- Ben: I'm here to find the man who murdered your wife.
- Sayid wants to know how Ben got off the Island. Ben tells him his friend Desmond had a boat, The Elizabeth. Ben says he followed a heading to Fiji, and then chartered a plane. Ben says there was a man at the procession named Ishmael Bakir (this is the person he was photographing minutes before), who was one of Charles Whidmore's men. Ben says Bakir was seen in Los Angeles five days earlier and that he was caught on a traffic camera speeding away, three blocks from where Nadia was killed. Sayid wants to know why his wife was murdered - Ben says he doesn't know.
- Camp Locke: Miles says the attackers have a hostage - Alex. Ben grabs the phone. Now he's talking. Martin Keamy tells him he works for Charles Widmore, and to look out the window so they can talk face to face. He wants Ben to come out. Ben identifies him as a mercenary, and says once he surrenders there is nothing to stop Keamey from killing everyone else on the Island. Here comes Alex. Keamey has a gun to her head, and tells Ben if he doesn't come out in ten seconds, he's going to kill her. Ben offers a counter-proposal: Keamey and his fellow mercenaries walk away and go back to their chopper, and forget they ever heard of the Island. Alex is begging Ben to help her. Ben says he has it under control. As he's telling Keamey she's not his daughter, that he stole her and that she was just a pawn. Keamey is counting down.
- Keamy just executed Alex!
- Commercial break.
- Ben is still standing in shock at the window, saying "he changed the rules." What rules? An agreement not to kill family/friends? Ben heads for his secret office and opens yet another door....
- Flashing forward, to Iraq again. Ben is keeping an eye on Bakir, tailing him through the streets. Bakir suddenly has a gun at his back, and he demands to know why Ben is following him. Ben says he has a message for Mr. Widmore - suddenly, Sayid appears and unloads the entire clip of his gun into Bakir. Ben says that should do it, and turns to leave, telling Sayid to go on with his life, and not to let the grief ruin him. Sayid says he's got nothing left to lose. He wants to know "who is next." Ben tells him he'll "be in touch."
- So, now we know how Sayid winds up working with/for Ben.
- Back at Camp Locke, Claire is up and about. She's wobbly, but says she'll live. Ben returns from his secret hiding spot. He tells everyone they need to run from the house as quickly as they can, towards the tree line. Suddenly, the house begins to shake violently.
- Could it be? Is it? It is! It's Smokey!
- YouTube Video: The Smoke Monster - "The Shape of Things to Come" (Time: 2:15)
- So now we know: Ben controls the smoke monster. At this point, the mercenaries are pretty much doomed. Ben tells Locke and the others to run while he stays behind to say goodbye to his daughter.
- Camp Jack: Faraday is trying to send a telegraph..."What happened to doc?" A response comes in. Faraday tells the group that they didn't say what happened to the doctor, but "their friends are fine and the chopper will be back in the morning". Bernard jumps in and says Faraday is lying, and that the message said: "What are you talking about? The doctor is fine." (How could he be fine? Unless...duplicates?!)
- Jack grabs Faraday and demands to know if he'd ever planned on taking them off the Island. Faraday says no. Suddenly Jack is riddled with stomach pains...as he stumbles off, we head back to...
- Team Locke, in the jungle. Ben rejoins the group, after an emotional goodbye to Alex. Locke tells him he's sorry about his daughter. Then he tells Ben he lied to him about the smoke monster, about what it was. Ben says he can ask Jacob all about it when they go to the cabin. Sawyer wants to know who Jacob is...Ben says he'll be the one to tell them what to do next. Sawyer has had enough: he's going back to the beach with Claire, Aaron and Hurley. Locke draws his gun, and demands that Hurley stay. Locke needs Hugo to find the cabin. Hurley says he'll go with Locke, and he'll catch up at the beach later. Miles, Sawyer, Claire and Aaron take off.
- Flash forward again to London, England. Ben enters an apartment building and tells the guard he's here to see Mr. and Mrs. Kendrick. As he enters the elevator, he pulls out a key and presses Penthouse. Ben steps into a darkened penthouse, and wakes Charles Widmore up. Widmore wants to know why he's there. Ben says it's because Widmore killed his daughter. Widmore says he didn't kill Alex - BEN did. A second time, he asks Ben why he's there.
- Ben: I'm here, Charles, to tell you that I'm going to kill your daughter. Penelope, is it? And once she's gone, once she's dead, then you'll understand how I feel. And you'll wish you hadn't changed the rules.
- Widmore: You'll never find her. That Island's mine, it always was and it will be again.
- Ben: But you'll never find it.
- Widmore: Then I suppose the hunt is on for both of us.
- Ben: I suppose it is. Sleep tight Charles.
- As Ben leaves Widmore's penthouse, we go to black screen.
- Next week: previews of a very, very sick Jack. Juliette says Jack's appendix has ruptured. Sawyer, Claire and Aaron are hiding from Keamey in the jungle. Did you miss the teaser for next week?
- YouTube Video: Lost 4x10 Trailer "Something Nice Back Home" (Time: 0:31)
Spoilers 5/1: Lost "Something Nice Back Home"4X10
- Party time!
- Juliette wakes Jack up. He's obviously still sick. Faraday is arguing with Bernard on the beach - he says there's no signal on the SAT phone. Jack tries to calm everyone down, he says he knows Faraday and company are lying to them. He tells them to be patient. Moments later, Jack collapses.
- Flashing forward, Jack-style. Jack is asleep in his bedroom, and the phone is ringing with confirmation of his 11 o'clock consult.
- YouTube Video: Lost Jack and Kate Fast Forward Scene "Something Nice Back Home" (Time: 2:11)
- YouTube Video: Lost Intro (Time: 0:09)
- Jack is reading a bedtime story to Aaron (!), as Kate lovingly (!) looks on. As Aaron drifts off, Jack and Kate talk in the hall. He mentions his Dad was a good storyteller. Kate says it's nice to hear him say good things about his father, and that she loves seeing him with Aaron. She says she's so glad she changed his mind, that he's here. More embracing.
- Back on the Island, Jack is really, really sick. Stumbling around, being stubborn and telling the ladyfolk he's fine.
- Now we're in the jungle with Sawyer, Claire, Aaron and Miles as they continue to make their way to the beach. Suddenly Miles stops - he's had some sort of vision. He asks who Danielle and Karl are, and starts digging. Miles uncovers Danielle's body, and Karl, too. Ewwww. Sawyer's wondering how Miles knew they were buried there. A very nervous Claire is just about ready to split.
- Camp Jack, The Beach: Jack tells Juliette he thinks he has food poisoning. Juliette disagrees. She tells him to lift up his shirt. It's his appendix. Jack says he's had pain since yesterday, but it hasn't ruptured yet. Juliette says they'll have to take it out.
- Juliette sends Sun and Jin to get medical supplies and Faraday offers to go with them to get the right surgical instruments. Charlotte decides she's going too. Juliette gives Jin a gun and tells him to shoot them the leg if Faraday/Charlotte try to flee. Juliette doesn't want to bring Jack to the medical station - she says if they move him, his appendix could rupture, killing him.
- Back in the jungle, Sawyer warns Miles not to look at Claire. Little protective, awww. How sweet.
- The Beach: Rose wonders why, on the day before they're rescued, Jack got sick. Bernard says it just happens, people get sick. Rose points out that they don't get sick on the Island. As Juliette is prepping Jack for surgery, Jack says he wants to be awake to help her. He wants Kate to hold a mirror so he can see what Juliette is doing.
- Flash...forward? Jack is at St. Sebastian Hospital, and sees...was that his dead father?! Jack gets a call from a psychiatrist to visit a patient in Santa Rosa Mental Health Institute. It's Hurley. He's refusing to take his meds. Jack wants to know why?
- Hurley: Because we're all dead. We never got off the Island.
- Jack tells Hurley that's not true. Hurley asks what Jack did today...Jack says he took care of Aaron with Kate. Hurley points out Jack didn't want anything to do with Aaron - Jack says he changed his mind "after the trial." Hurley says it all seems so perfect, "just like heaven." Hurley says he was happy too for a while, until he saw Charlie. He says he sits and talks with him often on a bench on the grounds of the asylum. He says Charlie told him Jack would be coming by and he wanted to give him a message. Hurley wrote the message down, so he wouldn't forget:
- "You're not supposed to raise him Jack."
- A visibly shaken Jack says that doesn't make sense. Hurley asks if he thinks Charlie means Aaron? As Jack turns to leave, Hurley says Charlie told him someone would be visiting him too, and soon.
- Back in the jungle, Sun and Jin are going for medical supplies. As they arrive at the medical station, Faraday offers to go first. As he enters the facility, Faraday wonders how the lab is powered. Sun warns Jin (in Korean) that the two scientists aren't up to any good.
- Sawyer, Aaron, Miles and Claire are still on the move. Suddenly there's a rustling in the brushes, it's Frank! He warns the group that Keamy is coming and they need to hide. Uh oh. Keamy hears Aaron cry out, and moves towards the hiding Losties (and Miles). Sawyer aims his gun. Frank manages to distract him, telling him they need to go now to get back to the chopper before dark. It works. They leave.
- Whew!
- Team Surgery/Beach/Jack: Juliette asks Kate to help with the surgery. Kate helps Jack take a walk up the beach. Jack tells Kate if something happens to him....Kate stops him before he continues. What was he going to say?
- Flashing...forward! Santa Rosa Hospital again - Jack is looking for Charlie on the bench where Hurley says he visits him. As he gets home, he wakes Kate up. Jack asks her if she really thinks he's a good father to Aaron. Kate says yes, he's "good at this." Jack asks Kate to marry him! He has a ring. Tearful Kate says "yes." Hurrah!
- Team Appendicitis: It's dark on the beach, and Jin confronts Charlotte - he says he knows she speaks Korean, because she understood his conversation with Sun. When the helicopter comes, he tells Charlotte she WILL take his wife off the Island. She agrees.
- Surgery time: Bernard is giving Jack a lidocaine injection, and offers chloroform to knock him out. Jack refuses. Juliette makes the incision, and she's going for the spreader. Jack is definitely feeling this. He asks Kate to keep holding the mirror, Juliette is yelling for Kate to leave - Bernard finally uses the chloroform. Night, Jack.
- Flashing forward, back to St. Sebastian Hospital: Jack's looking at x-rays and working on a case. Suddenly he hears a beeping noise outside his office. His deserted office. Just a smoke alarm battery, apparently. (Uh huh) Suddenly someone calls his name: Dr. Christian Shephard. As he walks toward the desk, Erica comes in. Jack looks back at the desk, and his father is gone. A shaken Jack asks for a prescription for alprazolam, a generic form of Xanax. Erica agrees reluctantly, and as she hands over the script, she tells Jack to "talk to someone."
- Back at Kate's house, Jack is home. He hears Kate on the phone - talking to Noreen (Kate says she's a mom from the park). Jack says she's never mentioned a Noreen before. Kate doesn't seem alarmed, but Jack is coming unhinged. Jack takes two pills, and chases with a beer.
- Back in the jungle, Claire wakes by the fire and sees her father (AKA Jack's father) holding Aaron. Cut to commercial.
- Back on the beach, Kate and Bernard are talking. He's telling her things went well and she can go in and see Jack. Juliette is stitching Jack up. She says the appendix came out, and Jack should be fine. Juliette apologizes for yelling at Kate. Kate says no worries. Juliette THEN tells Kate that Jack kissed her. She says she thinks Jack was trying to prove he didn't love "someone else." Kate thanks Juliette for saving his life, and leaves.
- Flash forward. Jack is home early. He confronts Kate. He's drinking, and heavily. He wants to know why the nanny was there when he got home, wants to know where Kate was. She says she was running errands. Again, he asks where Kate was. She tells him he has to trust her, to leave it be. Jack asks, yet again. Kate is pleading with him to let it go. Jack isn't giving up, and he's angry. Kate says she was doing something...
- Kate: For him.
- Jack: For who?
- Kate: For Sawyer. I made him a promise.
- Jack: Why didn't you tell me?
- Kate: Because he wouldn't want me to.
- Jack: But he's not here is he? No, he made his choice - he chose to stay. I'm the one who came back. I'm the one who's here. I'm the one who saved you.
- Kate: Jack, you can't do this. If you have problems you have to figure them out. I can't have you like this around my son.
- Jack: Your son? You're not even related to him!

- Aaron appears in the doorway, and as Kate scoops him up, Jack turns to leave.
- Back in the jungle, Sawyer wakes and asks where Claire is. Miles tells Sawyer she wandered into the jungle in the middle of the night, calling someone "Dad." Sawyer hears Aaron crying - he finds the baby, but there is no sign of Claire.
- As Sawyer holds Aaron and screams frantically for Claire, the screen goes black.
- The End
- The good news is, only 7 more days until the next episode, "Cabin Fever!" Want a preview, you say? Why sure:

- For now, here's what we know about "Cabin Fever:" Locke finally finds Jacob's cabin (with Hurley's help?) and "life on the freighter becomes dangerous." The official ABC press release indicates that this episode was written alongside the two previous episodes. Also, rumors are rampant that the episode will feature two younger actors portraying Locke - one of them age five, the other, 16.

Spoilers 5/8: Lost "Cabin Fever" 4X11
- We have arrived at the golden hour: "time for an Allllll Newwwwww episode of Lost!"
- We open with a young girl be-bopping around her room in a poodle skirt, listening to "Everyday" by Buddy Holly. Her name is Emily, and mom isn't happy she's going out with a boy twice her age. Lest we forget, Locke's biological father is supposedly Anthony Cooper. Emily runs out in front of a car as she's running out of her house. Cut to the hospital - Emily is on a gurney, telling the nurse she's six months pregnant. Now she's delivering the baby. It's a boy. He's very premature, but alive and Emily asks the nurse to name him John.
- On the Island: Grown up John Locke is with Hurley and Ben in the jungle, searching for Jacob's cabin. They aren't having any luck and decide to camp for the night.
- The Freighter: Sayid wakes Desmond to tell him the chopper has arrived. Keamey confronts Sayid, and wants to know how many people are on the Island and where they are. Keamey wants to know who "gave him up" - uh oh, Michael's in trouble. Keamey tries to shoot Michael/Kevin, but the gun won't go off. It's jammed. Remember, Michael can't die...the Island won't let him. Gault says they need Michael, so he can fix the engines, since "he's the one who broke them."
- Back on the Island: Locke wakes up and sees someone (who is this?) chopping down a tree. He says his name is Horace, and tells Locke he's building a house - and he needs a break from the DHARMA Initiative. Says he's not making any sense...but it's probably because he's been dead for 12 years. (Let us all pause and take special note of the nosebleed, is this a time traveling nosebleed?) As Locke watches, Horace says "you've gotta find me, and when you do, you'll find him." WHO? "Jacob, he's been waiting for you a real long time." Locke wakes from this very vivid dream, ready to go. Ben tells him he used to have dreams, too. So obviously Ben knows where this is all heading.
- Flashback to baby John. Mama Emily Locke meets with the nurse, who says he's the youngest preemie ever to survive. Emily doesn't want to hold her child, and runs from the hospital room. Emily's mom now wants to know about adoption. She sees Richard watching from the window. WHAT?!! Okay, no time to ponder right now, but I am certain we'll rehash this a little later.
- Back on the Island: Locke takes Hurley to the pit where the bodies of the DHARMA people are, all of them appear to have been shot in the head, execution style. Hurley asks what happened to them - Locke looks at Ben, and says "he did."
- Flashback: John Locke, age five. Richard comes to talk to John, who is busy playing backgammon. Richard tells him he runs a school for kids who are extremely special, and he thinks John is one of them. WHOA! Easter Egg Alert: check out the drawing on the wall - a child being attacked by what looks very much like the Smoke Monster. Richard asks John if he drew the picture - John says he did. Richard takes out a baseball glove, a book (Book of Laws) and some sort of container or vial with what looks like sand in it, a comic book (Mystery Tales and the cover reads "Hidden Land!"), a compass and a knife. He wants to know which of these things belong to John already. Young John looks first to the jar, then the compass...and then finally picks up the knife. A disappointed Richard says the knife doesn't belong to him, gathers up the things and leaves, quickly. Something tells me our young John just totally faked Richard out.
- YouTube Video: Lost Season 4: "Cabin Fever" - Richard Alpert visits Locke (Time: 4:08)
- Brief summary of the six items Locke was asked to choose from (for those of us who will, no doubt, be obsessing about such matters in the months/years to come):
- Baseball glove
- Book: Book of Laws (study up!)
- Vial with sand (?) in it
- Mystery Tales comic book
- compass
- knife
- Young Locke studies the vial and the compass closely, before passing on them and selecting the knife - and he seemed pretty sure. "Which of these things belong to you already?" Already. Really, really interesting and I am certain at some point this cryptic scene will make perfect sense. At some point.
- Island: Hurley says to Ben - "so, this is where you shot Locke and left him for dead?" Hurley asks Ben why he killed the DHARMA group? Ben says he didn't - it wasn't his decision to wipe out DHARMA. He says it was their leader. Locke is down with the bodies, and finds Horace's jacket - in the pocket, a blueprint of the cabin.
- Freighter: Gault is telling Keamey something is very wrong on the boat. People are sick, they're acting strangely and some have committed suicide. He questions whether Keamey's having symptoms as well. Keamey won't hear of it: he takes a key from Gault, and opens a safe. He finds a "secondary protocol" dossier with a DHARMA logo on it. Says he's trying to find out where Ben is going now. He wants to know the once safe place Ben can go - when they torch the Island. Gault says he thought this was an extraction mission, not one to destroy the whole Island. Desmond and Sayid are on deck as Gault sends Omar to the armory. Gault sends Desmond and Sayid to go down to the lower level of the ship, before Keamey gets back. Our two Islanders want to go back to help their friends, to ferry them off the Island - Gault tells them to meet him in 10 minutes.
- Back on the Island: Locke is checking out the blueprints. He tells Hurley he can go back to the beach now. Now that Locke has the blueprint, he "doesn't need Hugo's help." Ever loyal, Hurley says he's staying with them. Ben later tells Locke he's clever - Hurley actually thinks staying was his idea.
- Flashback: A 16-year-old John Locke, locked in a locker by bullies. (We'll tackle alliteration some other time). Locke meets with a teacher, who tells him about a Dr. Alpert - who runs Mittelos Bioscience Industries in Portland. Alpert wants Locke to go to science camp over the summer. A defiant Locke doesn't want to go, and says he's not a scientist. The teacher tells him he IS that guy who works in the lab, and urges him to take advantage of the opportunity. Locke leaves. So for the second time, Locke skirts Richard's attempts to draw him in...
- Freighter: Frank confronts Michael, and wants to know why he didn't tell him he was an Oceanic 815 survivor. Michael warns Frank not to fly Keamey back to the Island - he tells him Keamey is going to kill everyone on it. As they walk into the hall, they see Keamey being fitted with some sort of transmitting device. Desmond tells Sayid he won't go back to the Island with him - he's waiting for Penny to come and find him. Sayid leaves the Kahana alone, in a small speedboat.
- The Island: Locke, Ben and Hurley are walking through the dark jungle, still looking for the cabin. Ben says he too was told he was "special." Ben says there are consequences to being chosen - because "destiny is a fickle b*itch." Hurley calls them - The Cabin! They found it.
- Flashback: A paralyzed Locke in rehab, struggling to learn to walk again. There's the wheelchair. The attendant tells him not to give up. Locke says there's a 98 percent chance he won't get feeling back in his legs. The attendant says it's a miracle he survived...wait, wait! The attendant! Is that Matthew Abaddon? Indeed, it is - look:
- YouTube Video: Lost Season 4: "Cabin Fever" - Abaddon visits Locke (Time: 2:59)
- Isn't he the one who visited Hurley in the asylum post-Island, claiming to work for Oceanic Airlines? He also recruited Naomi, Frank and the scientists for the Freighter work! Abaddon asks Locke if he believes in miracles...Locke says no. "Do you know what you need Mr. Locke? You need to go on a walkabout - a journey of self discovery. You go to Australia with nothing but a knife and your wits. When you're ready, Mr. Locke, you'll listen to what I'm saying. Then when we run into each other again, you'll owe me one."
- The Freighter: Keamey's preparing for an all out assault on the Island. Frank tells Keamey he's not taking him to the Island. Keamey says he'll kill him. Frank says he's the only pilot he's got. Meanwile, Omar confronts the Doc - telling him he'd heard on his radio that they'd found the Doc washed up on the beach, with his throat slit. Just moments later, Keamey kills Doc (slits his throat) and throws him overboard. Hmmm. No time to dwell tonight, this one is coming at breakneck speed! Gault appears and pulls a gun on Keamey, but Keamey shoots and kills him. At this point, Frank has reconsidered his objections to escorting Keamey to the Island. They're off in the chopper.
- The Beach: Juliette's fussing at Jack to rest after his surgery. They hear the chopper coming. It drops something onto the beach - a transmitter. Jack says they want the beach group to follow them.
- YouTube Video: Lost - Jack, Kate and the Losties Scene 4x11 "Cabin Fever" (Time: 1:50)
- The Jungle: Ben says his time is over, he's not going into the cabin. He says the Island wanted him to get sick, and for John to get well. Hurley's out, too. Locke is going in...alone. As Locke enters, he sees someone in the rocking chair.
- Locke: Are you Jacob?
- Rocking Chair Guy: No, but I can speak on his behalf.
- Locke: Who are you?
- Rocking Chair Guy: I'm Christian.
- Locke: Do you know why I'm here?
- Christian: Yeah, sure. Do you?
- Locke: I'm here because I was chosen to be.
- Christian: That's absolutely right.
- John sees Claire!
- Claire: Hi John. Don't worry I'm fine, I'm with him.
- Locke: Where's the baby?
- Christian: The baby's not here, he's where he's supposed to be. It's probably best that you don't tell anyone you saw her. We don't have time for this - the people from the boat are already on their way back and once they get here all of these questions won't matter one bit so why don't you ask the one question that does matter?
- Locke: How do I save the Island?
- Christian smiles at Claire.
- YouTube Video: Watercooler Lost Moment - 4x11 "Cabin Fever" (Time: 2:00)
- Outside in the Jungle: Hurley and Ben. Hurley's having a little candy bar snack. He gives Ben half his candy bar (awww). Locke comes out.
- Ben: Did he tell you what we're supposed to do?
- Locke: He did.
- Ben: Well?
- Locke: He wants us to move the Island.
- Annnnnnnnnnnnnnnd scene. Another great episode is over. Lost Withdrawals can begin.
- So, Locke is the "chosen one" (though Ben seems to have followed the path meant for him, to some degree), Richard's been keeping tabs on him since he was an infant (who survived insurmountable odds) and we know he's going to attempt to move the Island. We've got the time issue again (Doc's throat cut AFTER he's reportedly washed up dead on the Island). We've got Michael still NOT dying. We've got creepy Richard recruiting, again (remember his encounter with young Ben?).
- And if they truly do "move the Island," does this explain why our Oceanic 6 can't get back to it? And how does the Island move, exactly? Orchid? It is becoming quite clear that Locke, NOT Ben, was the person destined to control events surrounding the Island. Ben changed the order of things. Locke must change things back.
- Whew. Time to let all this Lost-y goodness stew in my head for a while. Oh, and for the record: I think Claire is dead. I think she died in the cabin blast during the last episode. I am not quite sure how I'm going to back this up just yet, but the more I think about it, the more it makes sense.
- And now, the sneak peek for next week's episode, "There's No Place Like Home" - part one. Parts two and three will air on May 29, 2008.

Spoilers 5/15: Lost "There's No Place Like Home" Pt. 1 4X12
- It's time! Part one of the season finale!
- Flash Forward! We're in a cargo plane. Karen Decker is telling Jack, Sun, Kate, Hurley and Sayid (and baby Aaron) they're heading to a military facility and that they don't have to talk to any reporters if they don't want to. She tells them they're being called the "Oceanic Six." Jack says they'll talk. He tells the group "they all know the story" - if they get any questions they can't answer they'll just stay quiet, and it'll appear they're in shock. The plane lands, and the cargo doors open. Family and friends are there greeting everyone, lots of hugging and crying. No one is there for Kate. No one is there for Sayid.
- Back on the beach: Rose and the others are wondering who is on the chopper, who dropped the phone/tracker. Faraday tries to make contact. Frank and Keamey can be heard arguing about about putting the chopper down - near "the Orchid." They don't hear Sayid or Desmond. Jack tells Kate to get the guns, as Juliette follows him, screaming at him that he's too weak after surgery to go anywhere. Charlotte and Faraday are concerned the chopper is heading to the Orchid. Faraday tells Charlotte they have to get off the Island, right now.
- Jack and Kate are hiking through the jungle following the phone/transmitter's signal. They take a break and Kate notices he's bleeding. Suddenly Miles appears. Then Sawyer, and then Aaron. Kate asks about Claire - Sawyer says they "lost her. She walked off in the middle of the night." Jack says Claire didn't go back to the beach. Jack fills Sawyer in on the phone and the recent events. Sawyer tells them about the mercenary, the killings. Jack says they've got to get to the chopper. Sawyer disagrees, says they need to go back to the beach. Jack says he's going it alone - it's his responsibility. Reluctantly, Sawyer follows him.
- Flash Forward to a press briefing with Oceanic Airlines. Decker is showing a map of where they believe the plane went down. From there, she says the survivors were carried by currants to an uninhabited island in the lesser Sumba Islands known as Membata. On day 103 a typhoon washed up remnants of an Indonesian fishing boat, including basic supplies and a survival raft. On day 108, Decker says, the remaining six survivors used the raft to journey to an island called Sumba. They came ashore at a village called Manukangga. This is where they were discovered, and taken by the U.S. Coast Guard to Honolulu. Then the press asks the rapid-fire questions: what was it like when the plane hit the ocean? Jack says it was fast, and he fills everyone in on the basics. He explains how they all used life jackets and cushions to get to the island. Reporter says they look pretty healthy, and mentions to Hurley he was a millionaire (before he died) - Hurley says he doesn't want the money back, that it was bad luck. A reporter asks Sun whether her husband died on the island. Sun hesitates, and says no - he never made it off the plane. Sun just lied through her teeth...why? Kate is asked what it was like to give birth on the island? Says it was scary. Yet another lie. Kate says Aaron's just over five weeks old - the reporter mentions that would've made her six months pregnant when U.S. Marshalls apprehended her. Decker abruptly cuts the reporter off. The reporter asks if there are any other survivors to be discovered? Sayid says "no, absolutely not." As the presser ends, Decker tells Sayid there is a woman outside for him - Noor Abed Jazeem. It's Nadia!
- Back to the Island: Sayid's in the speed boat, heading straight for the beach. He tells everyone he's taking them all back, quickly. He says the men in the helicopter plan to kill everyone. Juliette tells him Jack and Kate went to find the chopper.
- Ben, Hurley and Locke are heading to the Orchid. Ben says it's a "greenhouse" and they're going so Locke can move the Island. Ben says moving the Island is extremely dangerous, and should only be done as a last resort. Ben stops, moves some rocks and finds a box with supplies: crackers, a mirror and binoculars. Hurley immediately begins munching on the crackers, which Ben tells him are "15 years old." Ben then holds up the mirror, telling the others "he's communicating." Suddenly, they see a mirror reflecting back. Locke wants to know what Ben said - Ben says it is none of his business.
- On the beach: Sayid is leaving to get Jack and Kate. Faraday offers to start ferrying people to the freighter. Kate, Aaron and Miles arrive on the beach. Kate gives Aaron to Sun, telling her to get him on the boat. Faraday leaves with the first group of survivors. Who are these other people we've never seen before? We see Jin and Sun - but I have no idea who the others are!
- Flash Forward: Sun is going to see her father at his company. He's obviously irritated, she asks him why? He mentions problems with the company - "nothing she'd understand." Sun tells him not to be interested in how the baby is doing - that they both know he hated Jin. She mentions she just bought a controlling interest in his company with money from the Oceanic settlement. Oof! "So", Sun says, "now you will respect me." Sun tells him she ruined her husband's life. She says he's one of two people responsible for Jun's death.
- More Forward Flashing: Hurley gets out of a battered old car with a big bag of chicken. Is that a Pinto?! He's at his parent's house. The door is ajar, and he sees a coconut lying in the hallway. Hurley's hearing whispers. He grabs a Jesus statue as a weapon and opens the door...surprise! It's a birthday party, for Hurley! His mom tells him "Jesus Christ is not a weapon." Kate, Nadia, Sayid and Aaron are all there. Hurley's father gives him a new car as a present - actually, it's the restored Camaro they were working on before Hurley's plane went down. His dad says he finished restoring it after the crash. Hurley's all happy - until he notices the odometer/trip mileage...the numbers? 4, 8, 15, 16, 23 and 42. Uh oh. Hurley's flipping out, those are his lottery numbers. He takes off running up the street....
- Cut to Hurley in the jungle. He's quizzing Ben about moving the Island. Wants to know if the dudes with guns will also move with the Island. Ben says yeah, it's a problem and he's working on it. Ben gets the binoculars, and tells the others to get down low. Says they are at the Orchid. Ben says Charles Widmore knows about the place, and knows what's inside. Ben hands the binoculars to Locke, so he can see that Keamey and his men arrived their first. The place is heavily guarded.
- Faraday and company arrive at the freighter in the speedboat. Desmond runs to greet them, and they climb aboard. Faraday heads back to get the next group. Michael/Kevin says the engine is fixed. He sees Sun and Jin. Awkwarrrrrd. Desmond tries the engine...it works. Desmond says it's time to go to the Island. The driver says something on the boat is broadcasting a signal that is interfering with the boat's depth monitor. They can't see where the reef is, so they can't get too close to the Island. Desmond takes off to investigate.
- Back on the Island: Jack and Sawyer arrive at the chopper. They spot Frank, handcuffed to a seat. He tells them about Keamey's plans - that they're at the greenhouse waiting to get Ben.
- Flash Forward: Jack is delivering the eulogy at his father's funeral. Kate and the other four survivors are there. After the service, a woman walks up and speaks to Jack. She says she's sorry for his loss. She says she believes she's the reason Jack's father was in Australia when he died. She says Christian came to see his daughter - "my daughter." She tells him her daughter was on Jack's plane, too. His sister. "Her name was...Claire." Jack is stunned. Claire's mother apologizes and leaves - but not before telling Kate how beautiful her son is...
- The Freighter: Sun confronts Michael. He explains how they got back to NYC. He tells them he's trying to make up for what he did. Suddenly, Desmond screams for Michael's help. He's found a huge cache of explosives.
- The Jungle: Kate and Sayid find fresh tracks, and suddenly Richard Alpert appears, and he's got a gun. Kate and Sayid then realize they are surrounded on all sides by Others with guns.
- YouTube Video: Lost S0E12 "There's No Place Like Home" Watercooler Moment (Time: 1:26)
- The Orchid: Ben tells Locke how to get into the greenhouse. He tells him to find a switch that takes him to an elevator that will take him to the Orchid station. Ben says he'll take care of the armed guards, and he walks toward the Orchid. Locke sees Ben surrender to Keamey, who then knocks him unconscious. We also see Sun going back on deck on the freighter, Jack and Sawyer with Frank heading to the Orchid and Kate and Sayid being led away by Others.

- And sadly, that's it folks. We've got two lonnnnng weeks to digest all of this new information. Well, less than 14 days now. More like 13 days, 11 1/2 hours. Tick tock. At least we've got the preview...

Spoilers 5/29: Lost "There's No Place Like Home" Pts. 2 and 3
- I can't believe it. Just a few more hours and we'll be done with Lost for the season. Special thanks to everyone involved in the show for making sure we have these last few episodes, and working like MAD to make it happen after the writer's strike!
- Here we go...
- Flash Forward AND Back (sort of): Picking up where we left off in the Season 3 finale: Jack telling Kate they have to go back...remember the conversation at the airport? Kate leaves, then stops the car and comes back. She's furious with Jack - she mentions an obituary for a Jeremy Bentham. Kate says she thought Bentham was crazy, but Jack believed what he had to say. Jack said he believed he was doing the right thing to keep Kate and Aaron safe. Kate says she spent three years trying to figure out what happened since Jack left. Kate leaves. (And we collectively scratch our noggins).
- YouTube Video: Lost - "There's No Place Like Home" Season Finale Jack and Kate (Time: 2:53)
- Back to the present: Jack and Sawyer are in the jungle. They spot Hurley, and the whole group finds Locke at the Orchid Station.
- On the Freighter: Desmond, Jin and Michael are all trying to figure out how to keep the ship from blowing up. Desmond says the bomb is wired remotely. If they try to disconnect anything, he warns, it will detonate.
- At the Orchid: Locke explains he's trying to get in to the Dharma station. Locke tells Jack he needs to hear what he has to say. Hurley mentions Ben surrendered to Keamey and his men, and they're all heading to the helicopter.
- Keamey arrives with Ben at the chopper to find Frank cuffed to the seat. Just as he's questioning Frank about what happened, Kate comes running out of the jungle. She says she's being chased by the Others. Keamey's men head into the jungle. A gun battle breaks out. Some sort of wicked electric darts are used. Kate and Ben make a run for it, with Keamey in hot pursuit. Sayid jumps on Keamey. A big nasty battle ensues, involving fists, knives and a large club. Richard Alpert shoots Keamey just as he's about to kill Sayid. Ben thanks Richard for coming. Kate cuts Ben free. Alpert says he made a deal with Kate and the others - if they helped rescue Ben, they were free to leave the Island. Ben tells them they can go.
- Flash forward, Hurley in the mental institution: A woman asks if he's dangerous. Hurley asks who she is - she says she doesn't know him, but he knows her grandson. It's Walt! Walt sits down and tells Hurley he thought one of the Oceanic Six would come see him when they returned, but no one ever did. He says Jeremy Bentham came to see him. He then tells Hurley he doesn't understand why the Six are all lying. Hurley says they're lying because its the only way to protect those who didn't come back, including Michael.
- The Orchid: Locke asks Jack to consider staying, and let bygones be bygones. Locke says Jack isn't supposed to go home, that he knows he's on the Island for a reason. If he leaves, that knowledge will eat him alive. Locke says Jack will have to lie if he leaves, to protect the Island and those left behind. Locke says it's a place where miracles happen, that it's a special place. Jack says there's no such thing as miracles. (Faith vs. Science, again). Ben comes in, helps Locke find the secret hatch that will take him to Dharma. Ben tells Jack to leave, quickly. Locke begs Jack to lie. Ben and Locke go down the hatch.
- The Freighter: Sun asks Michael what is going on. Michael says the tank he has with him will make things okay. Sun tells Michael she's pregnant. Michael pauses, and then congratulates her. The tank is liquid nitrogen. Michael wants to freeze the battery to keep it from detonating. The catch? One canister. Just enough to buy time until they can come up with a better solution. The light on top of the battery is green, but if it turns red, BOOM!
- Faraday returns to the Island with the boat, and fills everyone in on what's going on. Juliette thanks Faraday for helping them. Faraday tells Miles and Charlotte they have to be on the raft when they leave. He says the situation is dire, that they must leave in 10 minutes. Miles tells Charlotte he's surprised she wants to leave, after how hard she worked "to get back here." Back here!?
- The Orchid: Ben and Locke are descending into Dharma, very deep underground. Ben starts flipping switches, and tells Locke the Dharma's are all "for experiments." Ben tells him to watch a video that will answer some of his questions, while he takes care of business. A hatch opens, and the tape starts.
- It's Orientation Video Number 6: Dr. Edgar Halliwax (both arms, for those of you keeping score of the man's limbs), Station 6: Halliwax says Orchid is obviously not a botanical research unit. The island's properties allow for unique experiments on both space and time. He shows the Vault - puts Bunny 15 into it, while warning that metallic objects can't be placed into the vault (as Ben loads everything metallic he can find into the contraption). Halliwax says they'll shift the bunny 100 milliseconds ahead for dimensional space. For a brief period of time (seconds), Halliwax says, the bunny will seem to disappear, "but in reality...." At this point, the tape starts rewinding itself. Locke tries to fix it, to no avail. He's asking Ben if the tape was about what he thinks it was about...
- Ben: If you're thinking time traveling bunnies, then "yes."
- Suddenly Locke and Ben realize someone is coming down into the Dharma station. GI Ben asks for his weapon.
- The Jungle, with Hurley and Sawyer (and the chopper): the group reunites with Sayid, Kate and Jack. Sayid explains how he got back, and says it's safe now. Sawyer frees Frank, who fires up the chopper. They takeoff.
- The Orchid: Someone is definitely coming. It's Keamey. Apparently he didn't die (body armor). Keamey taunts Ben, telling him to take a shot. Keamey shows him the heart rate monitor he's wearing, which can detonate the freighter explosives if he is killed. Locke comes forward, identifies himself and says he has no conflict. He tells Keamey to put his knife down and talk. Ben leaps out of the shadows and stabs Keamey in the throat. The monitor starts to go haywire.
- Locke: What did you just do? You just killed everybody on that boat!
- Ben: So?
- On the Beach: Charlotte tells Faraday she's staying behind on the Island. Faraday says if she doesn't go now, "it could be forever." Charlotte says she's still looking for where she was born. They say their goodbyes. Juliette says she's not leaving, that she promised she wouldn't until everyone was safely off the Island.
- The Freighter: Desmond is still trying to disarm the bomb. They've frozen the battery but they're running out of nitrogen.
- The Chopper: Frank says they're losing fuel, that a bullet pierced the helicopter during the gun fight. Fuel can be seen leaking out the side. Frank says they've got to land. Jack says they can't go back to the Island - there is no fuel there. They begin throwing things off the chopper to try and lighten the load to conserve fuel, but it may not be enough. Sawyer hugs Kate, whispers something in her ear and says "do that for me, Freckles." He kisses her and then jumps into the water! We see him swimming back to the Island, as a teary-eyed Kate flies away.
- That's it for Part Two - straight into Part Three:
- Flash Forward: Sayid shoots and kills a guy sitting in his car outside the Santa Rosa Mental Hospital. He goes in and finds Hurley. He wants him to come somewhere safe with him. Sayid says circumstances have changed - Bentham is dead. Sayid says "they" said it was suicide. He says they're being watched, that he just killed a man who'd been staked outside the hospital for a week. Hurley asks if they're going back - Sayid says no, just somewhere safe. Hurley leaves with Sayid, after a checkmate, and a quick goodbye to the invisible opponent...Mr. Echo.
- The Chopper: Frank still can't find the Freighter. Hurley sees it, and they head that way...
- The Orchid: Locke is trying to keep Keamey from dying. Keamey tells Ben Widmore will find him wherever he goes, and then dies. The monitor goes berserk and on the freighter, the red light appears.
- The Freighter: Michael tells Jin and Desmond to get everyone off the boat immediately, that he will stay behind. Desmond runs up and grabs life vests - and sees the chopper coming in. He tries to warn them not to land. Michael is frantically freezing the battery. The chopper lands, they patch up the fuel leak and load everyone back in, including Sun, Aaron and Desmond. Michael tells Jin to leave and get to his wife, quickly. The choppers rotors are firing, as Jin races to get on deck. As he reaches the deck, the chopper pulls away. Sun sees him and screams that they have to go back, but Frank says they can't. Just as Michael is using up the last of the liquid nitrogen, Jack's father appears: and says "you can go now."
- BOOM: the aforementioned Fireball of Freighterocity.
- The Freighter is blown to smithereens as Frank tries to keep the controls in the chopper and Sun screams for Jin. Sun is hysterical and wants to go back, Jack tells her they can't. Jin is gone. Jack tells Frank to fly them back to the Island.
- Flash Forward: Sun is in London, and meets up with Charles Widmore. She mentions she's the liason for her father's company. She tells him she knows he knows who she is...that they've all been lying, and he knows why. Sun tells him to call her, that the Oceanic Six aren't the only ones who left the Island. Widmore asks why she'd help him - Sun walks away.
- The Orchid: Ben turns on the Vault, and the metal inside creates an explosion.
- The Beach: Juliette sees Sawyer swimming for shore. She's a little tipsy, drinking rum and drowning her sorrows. Sawyer sees the smoke coming from the freighter. Juliette says that was the boat, yes.
- The Orchid: Ben grabs a parka and says he's going "somewhere cold." Ben says the person who moves the Island can never come back. Ben tells Locke to leave, to go to Richard and the Others. Ben tells him goodbye, and apologizes for making his life so miserable. Ben tells Locke he'll find a way to tell the Others what to do.
- Locke heads into the jungle and finds the Others setting up camp. Richard welcomes him home.
- Ben goes into the vault, through a hole blown by the recent explosion. He's in a long tunnel, filled with ice. He slips on the stairs and hurts his arm (lightbulb moment - remember the arm injury when he "lands" in the desert?!). He finds what appears to be a large wheel. Ben breaks the ice away to turn the wheel, looking up and saying "I hope you're happy now, Jacob." As the wheel begins to turn, the Others in camp hear a strange sound. Folks on the beach and in the boat do too, along with those in the chopper. Ben is moving the Island! Suddenly there's a blinding white light and a deafening sound. The Island is gone. Poof: just like that!
- The chopper is out of fuel, and with no Island left to land on, Frank takes the it down into the water. Everyone puts on life vests, Sayid deploys the life raft and the chopper crashes. Everyone makes it safely into the raft - except Desmond. Jack pulls him in, administers CPR and Desmond comes around.
- Flash Forward to Kate's house. Her phone rings. We hear another voice on the line - making no sense (sounds like gibberish but I have a theory here) and Kate jumps up and grabs her gun. She runs into Aaron's bedroom, and Claire is with him. Claire tells Kate not to bring him back, that she cannot bring Aaron back to the Island. Kate wakes up - it was a dream. She runs to Aaron's room, and he's fine. She takes his little hand as he's sleeping, and begins telling him she's sorry.
- So: What did Kate hear in that phone call? My theory:

- On the raft: the group is trying to figure out what happened, that it seems Ben did indeed move the Island. All of a sudden they see a light. It's a boat! Jack tells everyone they'll have to lie about everything, all of it - every moment since they first crashed on the Island. He says the men on the freighter were there to kill everyone, that someone still wants all of them dead. They can't tell everyone that wasn't their plane's wreckage, that the bodies were faked. The boat, The Searcher, pulls up and Penny Widmore is on it! Desmond and Penny are finally reunited. Penny tells Desmond she tracked his phone call (see: "The Constant"), which is why she just happened to be in the area.
- The others are helped onto the boat, and Desmond makes the introductions. Jack says they need to talk.
- On The Searcher, one week later: They've sailed 3000 miles to another island, to keep everyone safe. Jack, Kate, Hurley, Aaron, Sun and Sayid load up into the raft as they get closer to shore. Jack says his goodbye to Desmond, telling him he'll "see him in another life, brother." The Oceanic Six paddle in to safety.

- Flash Forward: Jack pulls up at the funeral home of Hoffs/Drawlar. He breaks the lock to get in, and walks over to the coffin. The release form reads: Jeremy Bentham. Just as Jack opens the casket, Ben comes in and asks if Bentham told him he was off the Island. Jack says yes, that he spoke to Bentham about a month ago, as did Kate. He says Bentham told him after he left the Island some very bad things happened, and that it was his fault for leaving. Jack says Bentham told him he'd have to come back. Jack wants to know why he's here...
- Ben: The Island won't let you come alone. All of you have to go back.
- Jack: It's insane...I don't know where anyone is...Kate won't even talk to me anymore.
- Ben: Perhaps I can help you with that, it's the only way.
- Jack: How?
- Ben: I have a few ideas. Jack, I said all of you. We're gonna have to bring him too.
- Pan to the coffin: it's LOCKE!!! 'LOCKE is Jack Bentham!
- Don't believe it, either? Lookie:

- And one other thing: did anyone else happen to catch the Lost-related Octagon Global Recruiting commercial right before that last break? If not:
