Congresswoman Loretta Sanchez represents the 47th district of California. Sanchez became the first Mexican-American to represent Orange County in Congress when she defeated Republican incumbent Bob Dornan in 1996. Rep. Sanchez made history again when her sister Linda Sanchez was elected to the House of Representatives in 2003, making them the first sisters to be elected to Congress in U.S. history. -
