Lorenzen Wright

Lorenzen Wright was a professional basketball player in the NBA for many years. During his career, Wright played for the Los Angeles Clippers, the Atlanta Hawks, the Memphis Grizzlies and, most recently, the Cleveland Cavaliers. Wright left the Cavs in 2009. In July of 2010, Wright was reported missing. Reports quoted family members as saying they had not seen Wright since Sunday, July 18, 2010. The identity of the deceased was confirmed to be Wright the following morning. Authorities in the Memphis area were originally treating Wright as a missing persons case and claim that the cause of his death is yet undetermined. Lorenzen Wright was born on November 4, 1975 in Memphis, Tennessee. He attended college at the University of Memphis. In 1996, Wright was selected by the Los Angeles Clippers with the seventh pick in the NBA draft.http://www.nba.com/playerfile/lorenzen_wright/

In his first season with the Clippers, Wright appeared in 77 games and averaged 6.1 rebounds and 7.3 points per game. His best season was recorded in Atlanta during the 2000-2001 season when he averaged 12.4 points per game and 2.5 rebounds per game. In the 2004-2005 season Wright appeared in a career best 80 games for the Memphis Grizzlies. After leaving the Grizzlies after the 2005-2006 season. Wright's minutes decreased significantly. He is mostly used as a bench player for teams as a back-up center or power forward.
