Early Life
Lorenzen Wright was born on November 4, 1975 in Memphis, Tennessee. He attended college at the University of Memphis. In 1996, Wright was selected by the Los Angeles Clippers with the seventh pick in the NBA draft. -
Pro Career
In his first season with the Clippers, Wright appeared in 77 games and averaged 6.1 rebounds and 7.3 points per game. His best season was recorded in Atlanta during the 2000-2001 season when he averaged 12.4 points per game and 2.5 rebounds per game. In the 2004-2005 season Wright appeared in a career best 80 games for the Memphis Grizzlies. After leaving the Grizzlies after the 2005-2006 season. Wright's minutes decreased significantly. He is mostly used as a bench player for teams as a back-up center or power forward. Wright has played for several teams throughout his career including the Memphis Grizzlies, Atlanta Hawks, Sacramento Kings and the Cleveland Cavaliers.Yahoo! Sports: Lorenzen Wright
